Brow Lift
Surgical Artistry
OVERVIEW
A brow lift (forehead lift) elevates a descended brow to reduce forehead lines, soften a furrowed appearance, and restore a more open, youthful eye area. A low or heavy brow can make the eyes appear smaller and contribute to eyelid fullness even when the eyelids themselves are normal. Dr. Gordon uses the most appropriate technique for each patient's anatomy to achieve natural, long-lasting elevation.
BENEFITS
Elevates a descended brow to a naturally youthful position
Reduces horizontal forehead lines and glabellar furrows
Opens the eye area by relieving brow-related eyelid heaviness
Creates a more refreshed, alert facial expression
Can be combined with upper blepharoplasty for comprehensive rejuvenation
AM I A CANDIDATE?
- Ideal candidates are adults with brow ptosis (descended brow position) that contributes to a tired or heavy-lidded appearance. Patients considering upper blepharoplasty who have a low brow should first address the brow position, as performing eyelid surgery alone on a low brow may worsen the brow position. A thorough evaluation guides the recommendation.
THE PROCEDURE
Dr. Gordon performs endoscopic or temporal brow lift depending on the degree of lifting required and the patient's hairline. The endoscopic technique uses small incisions hidden in the scalp, through which a camera guides the elevation and fixation of the brow tissue. The temporal brow lift targets the outer brow and is ideal for patients requiring more lateral elevation.
