- Perlane is appropriate for patients with significant facial volume loss, deep nasolabial folds, or flattened cheeks who require substantial volumization. Its larger particle size is designed for placement deep in the dermis or supraperiosteal plane for cheek augmentation. Patients who are new to filler may start with a finer-particle product before advancing to Perlane.
THE PROCEDURE
Perlane is injected deep in the dermis or to the bone level using a needle or blunt cannula, providing structural lifting and volumization. The product's larger, denser particles resist compression and provide durable correction. Placement technique is critical — superficial injection of Perlane can cause visible lumping and should be avoided in thin-skin areas.
