Overview
Belotero is an injectable wrinkle filler that fills in moderate to severe lines and wrinkles on the face. Belotero is made with a synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) base that supplements the body’s natural HA supply for improved volume and structure. Belotero treatments create a subtler, natural looking improvement to facial lines and wrinkles, which also feel comfortable to the touch. Oculofacial plastic surgeon Dr. Gordon is one of 3% of doctors qualified as an ExpertInjector™ by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), which is why patients come from beyond New York City and Westchester to receive Belotero treatments from him.

About The Procedure
Dr. Gordon takes time before every injectable treatment to get to know his patient during the initial consultation. It is helpful for him in creating a treatment plan to know the patient’s medical history, current medications, what areas they feel need treatment, and the results they hope to see. Once Dr. Gordon and the patient have decided on an appropriate plan of action, he can perform Belotero injections in about 15 minutes in his convenient minor procedures room inside his office.
During/After The Procedure
Patients will be able to leave as soon as they feel able after their Belotero treatment. Some patients may see redness and swelling, but this should subside in 3 – 5 days. Patients should avoid exercise and similar activities as well as touching their face for the first 24 hours after the procedure. Dr. Gordon likes to see patients 1 – 2 weeks after their treatment to ensure that the patient has healed properly and to assess the individual results of the Belotero.
Expected Cost
A single session of a Belotero treatment costs $500 - $850. The cost will be determined based on the amount of injections used and the size of the area being treated.

Belotero FAQs
Cohesive Polydensified Matrix?
Belotero is made using the unique cohesive polydensified matrix (CPM) process. This creates an injectable gel that is smooth, flexible, and able to blend naturally with the skin. Many patients feel that Belotero is one of the best injectable fillers at creating a better, but natural appearance.
Touch Up Treatments?
The results of Belotero injections can last 6 months or more, depending on the amount of product used, as well as the patient’s age and skin type. Many patients make appointments for a touch up treatment while they are visiting Dr. Gordon for their follow up exam. Dr. Gordon can help patients decide how often to receive treatments.
Will It Hurt?
Patients tend to feel some level of discomfort or pain when receiving dermal injections like Belotero. During the initial consultation, patients should speak to Dr. Gordon about how high or low their threshold for pain is and if numbing creams or local anesthesia is appropriate.
